# Directions:

01 - Preheat oven to 425°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
02 - Toss broccoli florets and whole garlic cloves with olive oil, salt, and pepper. Spread evenly on the baking sheet and roast for 18 to 20 minutes, turning halfway, until broccoli is tender with light charring and garlic is soft and golden.
03 - Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add angel hair pasta and cook until al dente according to package instructions. Reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water, then drain.
04 - Transfer roasted garlic cloves to a cutting board and mash them with a fork until smooth.
05 - In a large skillet set over medium heat, add mashed garlic, roasted broccoli, lemon zest, and red pepper flakes if using. Add cooked pasta and toss to combine evenly.
06 - Pour in lemon juice and add a splash of reserved pasta water if needed to loosen the mixture. Stir in Parmesan cheese and toss until the sauce becomes creamy and well combined.
